Bulldog’s View of New York City

As someone who grew up in New York City, I have enjoyed the New Yorkers project. This project, conceived of by Moonshot Productions, is a recurring short documentary series that highlights regular, everyday New Yorkers from all walks of life. The people that other New Yorkers probably don’t even notice.

Meet Harry Grumbles – a real NYC dog. See New York City through his eyes and voice.

Anonymity. It’s a big part of living in New York. Over eight million people roaming the streets of NYC allow the same people to pass you day after day without you ever getting to know them. The same can be said about the over 600,000 dogs in NYC. At a glance, one dog is no different from the next. Except Harry Grumbles. We recently had the opportunity to film with Harry and when his short, rotund body didn’t fill the frame, his larger-than-life personality surely did. Harry runs New York, at least in his mind.

Note: Contains some mature language and video footage.

Hey, thanks for the warning about the bad language and questionable choice of video shots (pooping? really?) … woulda been helpful before I showed my kids because I thought this was a “dog in the city” video. Bummer, because we love bulldogs and we were hoping this was family-friendly and funny. ;(

Julie – Sorry about that, thanks for pointing it out. I have added a note of warning before the video.
