Energetic Jack Russell Terrier Dog Runs on the Grass Field. This past Friday (October 19, 2012) marked the official opening of the first off-leash dog park in LA County.  The $645,000, 1.5-acre fenced off area is located at the northwest section of Crescenta Valley Park (3901 Dunsmore Ave.).  It is  the result of over 5 years of work and lobbying effort by  Community Volunteers for Dogs Off-Leash Gathering and Socializing

The park includes two different sections — one is for large dogs and the other is for smaller dogs. There are also amenities for the pet owners as well, including  drinking fountains, walkways, and shaded areas.
